Community Initiatives
The police service works with community groups within district three to address issues and concerns that arise. As part of your district 3 policing team, we aim to work with the stakeholders to identify and address problem areas. We do this in different ways.
Our Community Sergeant and Community Liason Constables also spearheaded the Anti-Theft License Plate Screws as well as piloted a successful Safety and Protection Course.
Attending Public Community Events
Throughout 2010, we attended a variety of important community events including the Farmer's Market, Al Fresco, and DECL Cornfest.
We hosted an Oliver Community Town Hall meeting with Deputy Chief Lipinski, held safety fairs, and conducted two Keep the Lights On operations.
We aim to maintain a strong working relationship with stakeholders in the community and continue to develop and strengthen these relationships by being active in the community.
The Community Liaison Constables continue to attend various community and association meetings to find out concerns from stakeholders in an effort to address them and build a stronger bond with the police.
