Community Initiatives

Within C3, your community members are Community Sergeant HICKEY, and Community Liaison Constable ALLAN. Together, and through partnerships with the community they have been able to identify ongoing crime trends and undertake the responsibility to resolve them.

The enduring and most prevalent crime encountered in this district is property crime, which can include thefts from vehicle, theft of vehicle, or residential break and enter. Traffic safety concerns are also very predominant amongst residents in this district, and new to the division to assist in eliminating speeding complaints is the Speed Watch Program.

The best intelligence available on crime trends and patterns can be developed through the invaluable reporting process from Edmonton’s citizens. This in turn provides a clear picture as to where to concentrate our efforts and deploy resources in order to reduce crime.

Should you find yourself wanting to do more by being an active part of the community, become involved in community programs such as the Edmonton Neighbourhood Watch or click on the following link to become a volunteer with the Speed Watch Program Speed Watch - Southwest Division.

With a year-to-date crime reduction rate of 14.6 per cent, the District C3 officers look forward to working with you in the coming months and achieving continued crime reduction success in the remainder of 2010.
