West Division - District A1

District A1 shares common borders with the other three districts in West Division, as well as North Division, which means that officers from those other districts can respond to your community when serious events occur.

The district encompasses nine residential communities and a significant portion of District A1 is industrial zones.

Community Initiatives

District A1 is served primarily by a team of patrol officers supported by your community team, which consists of a community sergeant, community liaison constable, and the Neighbourhood Empowerment Team (N.E.T.). In an effort to address the unique needs of district residents and stakeholders, these members are specifically dedicated to the geographic area encompassing your district. This enables them to take ownership of community problems and have the day-to-day familiarity with “the word on the street” and to know what’s happening in your neighbourhood.

Consisting of a mixture of established residential and industrial zones, District A1 also has many services, schools, and commercial premises. Each one of these establishments requires a unique or target specific approach to policing and crime prevention. One such example is the N.E.T. operating within Brittania/Youngstown.
