District A3 encompasses 14 residential communities. It shares borders with the other three districts in West Division, which means that officers from those areas may also respond to your community when serious events occur.
Consisting of a mixture of established residential and industrial zones, District A3 also has many services, schools, and commercial premises. Each one of these establishments requires a target-specific approach to policing and crime prevention.

Community Initiatives
District A3 is served primarily by patrol officers supported by two foot patrol officers (beat officers) on Stony Plain Road, as well as a community sergeant, the community liaison constable, and the Neighbourhood Empowerment Team (N.E.T.) in Britannia-Youngstown. In an effort to address the unique needs of district residents and stakeholders, these members are specifically dedicated to the geographic area encompassing the district.
The district, the smallest within West Division, has had great success with their ability to do both proactive and reactive policing – while working in tandem with community efforts to revitalize the shopping experience and opportunities. Recently along Stony Plain Road, “Storefront Cinema Night” was a great example of taking back the street and showcasing ownership and pride. Beat members rely heavily on dedicated citizens who are taking a lead role in revitalization.
