Public information and warning: Sexual and violent offender released

In the interest of public safety, the Edmonton Police Service is issuing the following warning; Dana Michael Fash is a convicted violent and sexually violent offender and the Edmonton Police Service has reasonable grounds to believe he will commit another violent offence against someone while in the community.

Police investigate threatening post on social media regarding Jasper Place High School

At approximately 7:30 p.m. yesterday evening, Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, police received several reports of a threatening photo circulating amongst students from Jasper Place High School (8950 163 Street) via social media.

Police investigate shooting in south Edmonton

On Saturday, Feb 9, 2019, at approximately 5:20 p.m. police were called to an apartment suite in the area of 114 Street and Ellerslie Road.

Police charge man with uttering threats; investigation continues

On Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019 at approximately 10 a.m., police were contacted in regards to a threatening e-mail sent to a staff member of the United Conservative Party. Due to the specific and violent nature of the threat, investigators took an 18-year-old into custody, without incident. Abdul Anas Habash, 18, was charged with uttering threats.
