Police searching for suspect in connection with armed robbery and carjacking

For Immediate Release:13-Feb-2017 @ 3:26 PM
MRU #:17R014

The Edmonton Police Service is looking for the public’s assistance in locating a 2013 black Ford 150 Truck with the licence plate #BKP 8292, which was stolen during a carjacking earlier this morning.

Southeast Division members responded to a medical clinic parking lot near 10 Avenue and 91 Street at approximately 10:30 a.m. today, Monday, Feb. 13, 2016.

It was reported to police that a Caucasian male suspect stole the truck, after approaching and threatening the female owner of the vehicle. The Ford F-150 Truck has sustained damage to the front passenger-side fender, as well as a deep paint scratch on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Investigators believe the same suspect was also responsible for an armed robbery at gunpoint that occurred earlier this morning, at a hotel located near 101 Street and Ellerslie Road.

The male suspect is armed and dangerous, and as such, the public are advised to not engage the suspect should they come into contact with him.

Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of this vehicle and/or these crimes is encouraged to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.tipsubmit.com/start.htm.
