Detectives continue to ask citizens for tips in shooting

The Edmonton Police Service Homicide Section continues to request the public’s assistance in identifying four male suspects allegedly involved in the shooting death of a 22-year-old male earlier this week.

On Sunday, June 11, 2017, at approximately 4:40 p.m., Abdullahi Nur-Abdulle, 22, was taken to hospital after he was shot in the area of 118 Street and 145 Avenue. He later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

While the shooting took place in broad daylight, police believe there are other witnesses who have yet to come forward.


Specifically, investigators are looking to speak with a dark-skinned male who was allegedly shot at and then fled the scene. Investigators are concerned for his well-being and encourage him to contact police immediately.


The investigation continues.
