On 2014 OCT 05 at approximately 2130 Hrs, a hit and run occurred at the intersection of Rabbit Hill Road and Hodgson Blvd. SIDHU Paramjeet (46 yr old male) was walking in a marked cross walk, crossing Rabbit Hill Road from the south/east corner toward the south/west corner. As SIDHU was approximately half-way across the intersection, an unknown vehicle was travelling north on Rabbit Hill Road and collided with SIDHU.

The vehicle neglected to stop and continued to speed up leaving the area travelling north bound in the south bound traffic lanes. Emergency personal responded to the scene and tended to SIDHU. However, as a result of the blunt force trauma from the vehicle, SIDHU remained in a coma at the University of Alberta Hospital; but on 2014 OCT 23, SIDHU succumb to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Several witnesses identify the suspect vehicle as an older model (late 90s – early 2000s), 4 door, white (light coloured) vehicle.
