Larry VAN-OENE https://www.edmontonpolice.ca/CrimeFiles/Homicides/prior/LarryVANOENE On September 3, 1968 around 10:05 p.m. Larry VAN-OENE was at the Grande Hotel, previously at 103 Street and 103. <p><span>He entered the public washroom and was stabbed to death inside a cubicle.</span></p> <p><span>The description provided by witnesses was that of a 40-50 year old white male, 150 lbs, dark, receding hair wearing a dark suit, white shirt and no tie.</span></p> ]]> 02 Mar 2018 07:00:00 UT Robert MCKAY https://www.edmontonpolice.ca/CrimeFiles/Homicides/prior/RobertMCKAY On March 18, 1959, Robert MCKAY was found badly beaten and semi-conscious inside his taxi in the area of 8502 131 Street. <p><span>He was transported to hospital where he underwent surgery for severe head and brain trauma, but died several hours later.</span></p> <p><span>Robert was last&nbsp;seen&nbsp;by other cab drivers at the Canadian National Railroad station around 8:30 p.m.&nbsp;</span></p> ]]> 02 Mar 2018 07:00:00 UT Robert GIEBELHAUS https://www.edmontonpolice.ca/CrimeFiles/Homicides/prior/RobertGIEBELHAUS On September 30, 1955 at approximately 12:30 a.m. a fight broke out at the Trocadero Dance Hall, previously located at 10151 103 Street. <p><span>Robert GIEBELHAUS had gotten into a consensual fight with an unidentified male.&nbsp; Witnesses stated that Robert was struck in the jaw and knocked unconscious.&nbsp; Robert struck his head on the sidewalk.</span></p> <p><span>The suspect fled on foot with two of his friends and has never been identified.&nbsp; Robert never regained consciousness and died approximately 10 hours later due to brain hemorrhaging.&nbsp;</span></p> ]]> 02 Mar 2018 07:00:00 UT
