Four charged in drug investigation

Three men and one woman are facing multiple drug and weapon charges in connection to a recent EPS Drug and Gang Enforcement (EDGE) Unit investigation.

On Oct. 7, 2020, EDGE detectives executed a search warrant at four addresses in the Haddow, Hazeldean, Walker, and Klarvatten neighbourhoods as a result of an ongoing investigation.

During the search, officers uncovered and seized a total of 568 grams of cocaine with a street value of approximately $28,500; 351 grams of psilocybin valued at approximately $1,970; and 2.5 ounces of Gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB) valued at approximately $75.

Police also seized a 2006 Nissan Murano with a hidden compartment containing drugs, a 2015 Mercedes Benz C400, a .40 calibre handgun, one loaded .40 calibre magazine, one prohibited 22-round magazine, and $232,100 in Canadian currency.

Brandon Tran, 23, Wayne Cheng, 40, Scott Gerke, 23, and Jasmine Rosario-Ng, 23, were arrested and charged with a combined total of 26 charges under the Criminal Code of Canada and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
