Volvo with front passenger damage sought by police after leaving scene of serious collision

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking the whereabouts of a grey or blue-colored Volvo S60 sedan which left the scene of serious collision involving a motorcycle.

On Friday, Sept. 15, 2023, at approximately 1:40 p.m., EPS received the report of a hit-and-run collision which occurred in the westbound lanes of Whitemud Drive just east of 17 Street. It was reported to police that a 2004 Volvo S60 struck a 2020 Honda motorcycle which subsequently caused the 54-year-old motorcycle driver to fall off, sliding some distance down Whitemud Drive. The motorcycle rider sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries from the collision. The driver of the Volvo continued on and did not stop. 

Major Collision investigators are seeking the whereabouts of this grey or blue-colored 2004 Volvo S60 which should have evident damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle. Anyone with information, including a license plate, should contact police immediately.
