Prolific offenders facing more than 300 drug and stolen property charges

Several prolific offenders are facing 316 charges in connection to a major stolen property and drug trafficking operation in southeast Edmonton.[No text in field]

Police commenced an investigation into the illegal activities surrounding a rental property near 19 Avenue and Lakewood Road South in mid-April. Investigators eventually identified several suspects of interest residing at that address.

On April 30, 2020, Randi Cramer, 26, a resident of the Lakewood Road South address, was arrested after conducting several alleged drug transactions from a vehicle near Whyte Avenue. Investigators discovered approximately 10 grams of fentanyl valued at $5,000 on Cramer, at the time of her arrest.

On May 8, 2020, investigators arrested another resident of the Lakewood South address, Robert Richards, 33, on drug trafficking charges. Richards was taken into custody while inside a nearby convenience store on 28 Avenue and Mill Woods Road South. During his arrest, investigators discovered $3,000 in Canadian currency on him, 10 diamond rings valued at more than $17,000 and a .22 caliber pistol.

While executing a subsequent search warrant at the Lakewood Road South property, investigators uncovered close to 200 grams of fentanyl with an estimated street value of $25,000, over $16,000 in Canadian currency, thousands of dollars in Canadian counterfeit currency, hundreds of fake and stolen IDs and credit cards, instruments for manufacturing credit cards and government documents, and 26 pairs of new, stolen work boots.

A young child was also taken from the residence by trusted family members.  The EPS Child at Risk Response Team will be conducting follow up investigations.

Randi Cramer is charged with 76 offences related to stolen property, proceeds of crime, drug trafficking and causing a child to be drug-endangered.

Robert Richards is charged with 86 offences related to stolen property, possession of a firearm, proceeds of crime, drug trafficking, stolen ID and forging documents.

Matthew Cook, 30, is charged with 76 offences related to stolen property, drug trafficking, forged documents, making ID documents and possession of stolen credit cards.

Camille Paradis, 35, is charged with 78 offences related to stolen property, drug trafficking, forced documents, making ID documents, possession of stolen credit cards and breach of existing conditions.
