Autopsy complete in Whyte Avenue area shooting

An Oct. 7, 2021 autopsy conducted by the Edmonton Medical Examiner has confirmed that Tanraj Deogen, 24, died as a result of a gunshot wound, and that the manner of death was homicide.


At approximately 2:18 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, Southwest Division officers were called to the report of a shooting in the area of 81 Avenue and 104 Street.

When officers arrived, they located the victim on the street and attempted life-saving measures, but he died on scene.
