Woman charged in central Edmonton death

EPS Homicide Section has charged one woman in relation to the death of a man in central Edmonton on the weekend.

On Jul. 31, 2022, Joslyn Batoche, 41, was arrested and charged with manslaughter.

The deceased has been positively identified as Christopher McMullen, 38. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022.


Just before 4 a.m. on Jul. 31, 2022, police responded to the report of a male in a building stairwell in the area of 110 Avenue and 84 Street. When officers arrived, they located an unresponsive man who was pronounced deceased on scene by paramedics.
