The Edmonton Police Service provides up to date information from news releases, success stories, and crime files that is accessible by Really Simple Syndication (RSS) on our website. There are also a number of social media websites where this information is published.
In addition to corporate social media accounts, the EPS has launched a social media program that includes front line officer Twitter and Instagram accounts. Designed to offer a glimpse into the day of a police officer, these accounts allow citizens to directly interact with EPS members.
As part of an ongoing initiative to engage the public via social media, the EPS has added its media relations team to its corporate Twitter and Facebook accounts. All media relations advisors will engage with the public during certain events and files. Each advisor will be represented by their unique initials:
