Your Community Station

The Edmonton Police Service has fourteen community stations throughout the city. You can often get help with any non-emergency issues by visiting these stations. Check out Divisions & Locations to find a station near you.

Why should I visit my community station?

  1. Your report will help police identify ongoing crime and disorder problems in your area. All information shared by the public is valuable and will help police to better identify trends and develop potential solutions.

  2. You will save yourself time. By choosing to visit a community station to report a non-emergency problem, you don't have to wait around for police to show up. Non-emergency or routine service calls can take several hours for a patrol car to respond during busy times. By visiting a police station, you can choose a time that is convenient for you, and the process usually takes less than 30 minutes.

  3. You will get personal service. There's nothing better than being able to talk face-to-face with a police officer and have your questions and concerns addressed immediately.

  4. You will receive a file number and copy of your statement, or a copy of your collision report once completed.

  5. You will help police respond faster to emergency calls. Patrol cars should be used primarily for emergency calls when lives or property are at risk or a crime is in progress. This includes break & enters, robberies, assaults, and injury collisions. It is not a good use of police resources to have a patrol car ties up with a minor theft complaint that could be better handled at a community station.
