In their vast array of everyday activities, patrol officers in all five divisions of the city rely upon fellow officers who work in specialized units to provide their skills, expertise, and back-up support at any given time, in any given location.
These specialized units include
Flight Operations,
Canine,
Tactical,
Special Event Policing,
Traffic and the
Police Dispatch 911 Section.
The public also relies on our
Police Information Check Unit to provide background checks for volunteer jobs and other employment positions.
