I am a private-practice counselling psychologist with a specialization in Marital & Family Therapy, and have been offering services to clients since 2006. I am currently a managing partner at the Edmonton Psychological Group, conveniently located in the city’s Grandin/Government Centre area (directly across from the Legislature and next to the High Level bridge). Specific to trauma work, the modality I use with EPS clients and am formally trained in is called Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). It’s an effective and efficient method of reducing trauma symptoms via repeated eye movements, desensitization of held images and body sensations, and the overlaying of a preferred outcome to the traumatic episode itself.
