Crime prevention is a toolbox full of tools and the craftspeople wielding them are the real determinant of their usefulness.

The crime prevention initiatives the Edmonton Police Service have undertaken have been successfully applied within our communities.

The Crime Prevention Unit coordinates the implementation of  crime prevention programs such as Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, Crime Free Multi-housing, and the Cooperative Policing Program with our retail partners.
