Around 8 a.m., police received a call from Edmonton Fire Rescue Services (EFRS) about a structure fire in the Crestwood neighborhood around 141 Street and 98 Avenue.
Through information gathered from EFRS and evidence found at the scene, the fire was determined to have been deliberately set and is being investigated as an arson. The building was under construction and has extensive damage.
Investigators believe at this time there is no indication this arson is connected to others that have happened in Edmonton recently.
Police are asking anyone in the Crestwood neighborhood to check their security camera and dashcam footage for any suspicious activity in the area between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. on April 23, 2025. Please contact police to provide a copy of the footage.
