Police warn public, seek assistance to identify sexual assault suspect

May 8, 2025 update: this news release has been edited, as the suspect has been located.

The EPS Sexual Assault Section is currently investigating two sexual assaults that occurred on April 22, 2025, and one sexual assault that occurred on April 27, 2025 in the Charlesworth neighbourhood, where an unidentified suspect has been targeting women walking alone along foot paths.

EPS is issuing this warning in the interest of public safety. The three incidents are being actively investigated and are believed to be connected. Police are asking area residents to take extra precautions when using walking paths at this time. Charlesworth and area residents are also asked to report suspicious activity or individuals matching the suspect’s description.
