Autopsy complete in southeast death

An autopsy is complete in a suspicious death that took place in southeast Edmonton this week.

Yesterday, June 4, 2025, at approximately 12:38 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting at a residence in the area of 16 Avenue SW and 65 Street SW and located a 40-year-old male with injuries. Upon arrival, EMS treated the male, however he was pronounced deceased on scene.

The investigation has since been turned over to the EPS Homicide section.

Today, the Edmonton Medical Examiner’s Office completed an autopsy on Inderpal Singh, 40, and determined the manner of death was homicide. The cause of death was determined to be gunshot wounds.

Anyone with information about this homicide, or anyone with security or dash camera footage of the area around 16 Avenue and 65 Street at approximately 11 p.m. on June 3 to 2 a.m. on June 4, is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.
