MRU #: TR25021

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating a fatal collision that happened Friday evening.

At approximately 5:27 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025, the driver of a Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling northbound on 127 Street. As the motorcycle driver was approaching the intersection at 148 Avenue, the driver of a Subaru was completing a left hand turn on a freshly-turned red light from the southbound lane on 127 Street. At this time, it was reported that the Kawasaki motorcycle collided with the Subaru. As a result, the motorcycle’s 31-year-old male driver was thrown from his bike.

EMS and police responded to the collision; however, the male motorcyclist was declared deceased at the scene. The driver of the Subaru was not injured and remained on scene. The motorcycle’s speed is believed to be a factor in the collision.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed or has dash camera or other video footage of this collision to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.
