For Immediate Release: 09-May-2025 @ 11:00 AM
MRU #: TR25010

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is looking for anyone who witnessed or has dash cam video of a serious motorcycle crash to come forward.

Around 4:30 p.m., on Thursday, May 1, 2025, police were called to Sherwood Park Freeway and Argyll Road. Officers determined a 52-year-old male motorcyclist was travelling eastbound on Argyll Road. The driver lost control and went over the curb before laying down his 2009 Harley motorcycle as they slid down the grass hill into oncoming westbound traffic. The motorcycle crashed head-on into a 2013 Toyota Corolla.

EMS responded and treated the motorcyclist before transporting him to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Corolla was not injured. The motorcyclist is in stable condition.

EPS Major Collision Investigations Section (MCIS) continues to investigate. Speed is considered a factor.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed or has dash cam footage of this collision to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.
