The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating a suspicious death that took place in northeast Edmonton.

On Sunday, April 27, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., EPS Northeast Branch Patrol responded to the report of a disturbance in the area of 118 Avenue and Wayne Gretzky Drive. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive 35-year-old man. EMS provided lifesaving measures and transported the man to hospital, where he later died.

The EPS Homicide Section has taken over the investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, Apr. 30, 2025.
