MRU #: TR25004

Edmonton Police Service Major Collision Investigations Section (MCIS) officers are investigating a fatal collision that occurred last night.

On Friday, Mar. 7, 2025, at 7:08 p.m., a 21-year-old female pedestrian was crossing Hewes Way westbound in the marked crosswalk at 23 Avenue with the green light. While crossing, she was struck by a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 driven by a 48-year-old male making a left turn onto Hewes way from 23 Avenue eastbound.

Police and EMS responded to the scene, where the pedestrian was, sadly, pronounced deceased. MCIS is investigating the collision. Neither speed nor impairment are believed to be factors in the collision.
