Police seek witnesses in sexual assault investigation

For Immediate Release: 04-Nov-2025 @ 2:16 PM
MRU #: SA25R017

Edmonton Police Service (EPS) investigators are looking to speak with the occupants of a vehicle who may have important information about a sexual assault that occurred in August.

On Aug. 22, 2025, between 11:15 and 11:30 p.m., a female complainant was walking in the area of Whyte Avenue and 107 Street when she was attacked from behind and sexually assaulted. The female screamed, a vehicle travelling down 107 Street stopped to assist, and the suspect fled in an unknown direction. The occupants of the vehicle offered the complainant a ride out of the area.

Detectives have since exhausted all other investigative avenues, including canvassing the area for security footage, and are hoping to speak with the occupants of the vehicle who assisted the complainant on the night of the assault. These individuals, or anyone who knows of their identities, are asked to come forward to police, as they may have important information that could advance the investigation.

The EPS is asking the people in question or anyone with any information about this assault to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information may also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.
