Police seeking tips, video related to 2025 shooting

For Immediate Release: 28-Apr-2026 @ 11:10 AM
MRU #: 26R038

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking tips and video footage following a shooting that took place in northeast Edmonton in March 2025.

On March 30, 2025, police were called regarding an adult male who attended a medical facility with a gunshot wound. It was reported to police that he was sleeping in his home in the area of 34 Street and Abbottsfield Road when he awoke around 5:40 a.m. with an unknown injury. The male sustained a non-life-threatening injury.

“This resident has no criminal involvement, and his residence is not known to police,” says Det. Andrew Furman with the EPS Investigations Response Team. “This incident emphasizes the inherent danger to innocent bystanders when shootings take place, and we are grateful that his injuries were not more severe or fatal.”

To date, police have exhausted all efforts to gather more information in relation to the shooting and are hopeful someone who was in the area at the time or was driving nearby may have information or video footage that will help further the investigation. A map is included below for reference.
