Police seek public assistance in identifying suspect in May arson

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect in an arson that occurred at the end of May.

On Sunday, May 24, 2026, at approximately 5:30 a.m., police received reports of fire damage to the community league rink in the area of 113 Street and 25 Avenue. Investigators determined the fire was deliberately set and are attempting to identify a male suspect who was captured on surveillance footage.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing black pants, a black jacket, and black-and-white running shoes. He also had white over-ear headphones around his neck and was carrying a dark-coloured backpack.
