On July 4, 2026, at approximately 11:46 p.m., patrol officers were dispatched to the report of an assault on a roadway in the area of 82 Avenue and 108 Street. Reportedly, a 36-year-old male was assaulted by a group of seven male suspects. The 36-year-old male was treated and transported by EMS hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.
Police have arrested six adult suspects involved in the incident.
Investigators are now seeking to identify the single outstanding suspect, who is described as a young adult male. The suspect has a medium build, short or medium length black hair and has large dark tattoos on his left forearm and left bicep. He was last seen wearing a white zipper jacket, a black muscle shirt, blue jeans and black and white shoes, as pictured below.

"Investigators have made significant progress in this case, however one suspect remains unidentified," says Cst. James Henderson with the EPS’ Investigations Branch. "We are asking anyone who recognizes this individual or has information about his identity to come forward. Even small details could be a big help for our investigators."
Police believe the suspect frequents the University of Alberta and Whyte Avenue areas of Edmonton.
