Police seek dash cam video following shooting

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating after an injured man was found Monday afternoon.

Around 1:45 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, EPS members responded to reports of a shooting in the area of 109 Street and 166 Ave. Upon arrival, they found an injured male and lifesaving measures were administered by both EPS and EMS. The male was taken to hospital where he was later declared deceased. An autopsy will be scheduled for later this week.

It is still early in the investigation, and no further information is available at this time.

Anyone with dashcam or doorbell camera footage from the area, and west towards Castle Downs Road between 12pm and 2:30 pm to is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.
