Police investigating serious collision involving an e-scooter

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating a serious collision in which an SUV collided with an e-scooter.

On Thursday, July 31, 2025, around 3:15 p.m., a westbound Dodge Durango was making a lefthand turn from 51 Avenue onto 106 Street when it struck a male on his personal e-scooter who entered the intersection against the red light, crossing in front of the SUV.

The 32-year-old man suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital where he remains in stable condition. The 38-year-old female driver of the SUV was not injured.

Police continue to investigate.
