Police investigating fatal motorcycle collision in southeast Edmonton

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating a fatal motorcycle collision that occurred in southeast Edmonton yesterday.

On Sunday, June 22, 2025, at approximately 1:40 a.m., it was reported to police that a 19-year-old male driver of a 2004 Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycle was traveling on Mill Woods Road S.  At 49A Street the driver lost control of his bike and struck the curb and a tree. 

EMS and police responded to the collision and the 19-year-old driver was treated and transported to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The EPS Major Collision Investigations Section (MCIS) continues to investigate. Speed is believed to be a factor in this collision.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed or has dash camera or other video footage of this collision to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.
