Police investigating fatal motorcycle collision in central Edmonton

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating a fatal collision that occurred earlier this week in central Edmonton.

On Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, at approximately 6:15 p.m., police responded to a collision in the area of 102 Street and 106 Avenue. It was reported to police that a 35-year-old male operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle was headed westbound on 106 Avenue when it struck a Jeep that had just left a stop sign while travelling southbound on 102 Street.

EMS attended and transported the male motorcycle rider to hospital with serious injuries. EPS Major Collisions Investigations Section (MCIS) began investigating the collision. Sadly, the motorcyclist passed away on Friday, August 22.

Speed is considered a factor in the collision.

Investigators are asking anyone with dash camera footage of this collision to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.
