Shootings by month in 2024 and 2025

Of the 15 reported shootings in June 2025, 14 were believed to be targeted and 10 resulted in reported injuries. There were three deaths as a result of shooting occurrences last month. In 10 of the 15 shootings, there was potential for innocent bystanders, including children, to be harmed.

“This month is showing an increase in shootings over both the previous month and the monthly total from last year,” says Staff Sergeant David Graham of the EPS Firearms Investigation Section. “We will continue to address gun violence in our city through our Guns and Gangs Strategy, which focuses on deterrence, investigative excellence and youth intervention.”

Police seized 68 firearms in June 2025 and 380 in 2025 so far, as compared to 419 at this time last year.
