Police lay charges in central Edmonton homicide

Edmonton Police Service (EPS) Homicide Section detectives have laid charges in relation to the death of a man that took place in central Edmonton last week. 

On Thursday, June 19, 2025, at approximately 2:15 p.m. Downtown Branch Patrol responded to reports of an assault inside a residence in the area of 95 Street and 106 Avenue. When police arrived, they located an injured 59-year-old male. He was treated and transported by EMS to hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 42-year-old male was located nearby and charged with aggravated assault.

Sadly, on Sunday, June 22, the injured male succumbed to his injuries.

The Edmonton Medical Examiner completed an autopsy on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, and determined the deceased, Robert Gladue, 59, died of blunt force trauma. The manner of death was confirmed to be homicide.

Charges against Dustin Chisholm, 42, have since been upgraded to second degree murder.

The deceased and accused were known to each other.
