Police investigating fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a train

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating a fatal collision between a train and a pedestrian.

On Monday, July 28, 2025, just before 7:30 p.m. officers were called to a collision involving a CN Rail train and a 35-year-old male pedestrian. It happened near 34 Avenue, just west of Railway Street. Both the EPS Major Collision Investigations Section (MCIS) and CN Police responded to the scene.

MCIS continues to investigate. No charges have been laid at this time.
