The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking information that may help identify a suspect in a sexual assault that occurred at a playground.

On Monday, July 7, 2025, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a male youth approached a group of parents and children at a playground near 109 Street and 162 Avenue. The male asked if he could play with the children. During this time, it is believed the male took an 8-year-old girl into a wooded area beside the park and assaulted her.

All investigative avenues for identifying the suspect have been exhausted, and as such, police are releasing a composite sketch of the male in the hope that it may lead to tips about his identity.
