Between 9 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 1, 2025, police responded to the report of a sexual assault in the area of Whyte Avenue and Gateway Blvd. It was reported that a female was approached by a male unknown to her and was sexually assaulted. She was able to break away from the suspect who fled in an unknown direction.
All investigative avenues for identifying the suspect have been exhausted, and as such, police are releasing a composite sketch of the man in the hope that it may lead to tips about his identity.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30s who was disheveled with brown hair, and a full brown beard. He was shorter than 5’7” tall and was wearing a blue/black flannel jacket with a black shirt underneath and black jeans. The mark under his nose was believed to be a scab.
At this time, investigators believe this to be an isolated incident, and there is no known ongoing risk to the public.
