The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking information that may help identify a suspect in a south Edmonton sexual assault.

Between 9 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 1, 2025, police responded to the report of a sexual assault in the area of Whyte Avenue and Gateway Blvd. It was reported that a female was approached by a male unknown to her and was sexually assaulted. She was able to break away from the suspect who fled in an unknown direction.

All investigative avenues for identifying the suspect have been exhausted, and as such, police are releasing a composite sketch of the man in the hope that it may lead to tips about his identity.
