For Immediate Release: 12-Nov-2025 @ 11:41 AM
MRU #: TR2505

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking witnesses and dash camera footage following a serious injury collision this past weekend.

At approximately 2:34 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, police were called for a serious collision near 97 Street and 167 Avenue. It was reported that a northbound Mazda 3, operated by a 31-year-old female, was turning left onto 167 Avenue. The light turned red as she was clearing the intersection and she was struck by a southbound Toyota Camry, operated by a 27-year-old male.

The Mazda struck a power box and a Hyundai Elantra before coming to rest in the southwest corner of the intersection.

EMS transported the 31-year-old female to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The 27-year-old driver of the Toyota was also transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the Hyundai was transported for precautionary reasons.

EPS Major Collisions Investigation Section is investigating and believe speed is a factor.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed or has dash camera footage of this collision to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.
