The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating a death that took place earlier this morning.

Today, Friday, August 1, 2025, at approximately 12:15 a.m., EPS West Branch officers responded to reports of a dispute at a residence in the area of 81 Avenue and Briarwynd Court. Upon arrival, police located a male in medical distress. Upon arrival, EMS administered life-saving measures to the injured male; however, he was pronounced deceased on scene.

The investigation has since been turned over to the EPS Homicide Section. An autopsy has yet to be scheduled at this time.
