Police investigating suspicious death in northeast Edmonton

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating a suspicious death that took place at a residence in northeast Edmonton overnight.

On Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, at approximately 8:41 p.m., police responded to a weapons complaint in the area of 160A Avenue and 83 Street. Upon arrival, officers found a deceased 23-year-old male in what appeared to be suspicious circumstances. Police also located a 53-year-old female with serious, life-threatening injuries who was treated and transported to hospital by EMS.

A 25-year-old male was placed under arrest and EPS Homicide Section has taken over the investigation. Police believe the male suspect, the injured female and the deceased male victim were known to one another. An autopsy has yet to be scheduled.
