Police seek witnesses and video after weekend shooting in the city's southeast

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is asking for witnesses and video footage in relation to a shooting in the city's southeast.

On Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, at approximately 6:17 p.m. police responded to a weapons complaint in the area of Watt Common SW and 50 Street SW. Upon arrival, police found a 32-year-old man with gunshot wounds.

The man was treated and transported to hospital by EMS with injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening at this time.

Officers continue to investigate and are asking anyone with dashcam or security footage from the area of Watt Common SW and 50 Street SW between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the night of Friday, Feb. 13 to please contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.

Officers say this incident does not appear to be random. The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
