Police seek public's assistance identifying sexual assault suspect

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking the public's assistance identifying a male suspect in connection with a sexual assault that took place earlier this year. 

Earlier this year, the EPS received a report that on April 18, 2026, at approximately 11:40 p.m. a male suspect forcefully grabbed a female and touched her in a sexual manner without her consent as she was walking from a business plaza in the area of Saddleback Road and 27 Avenue. The suspect was seen in the same business plaza on April 27 and was observed entering a residence in the area of Saddleback Road and 112 Street.

The suspect is described as a male with a heavy build, facial hair and glasses. He was last seen wearing a black and blue jacket, a black hat, dark pants and black and white shoes.

Police are releasing CCTV footage and a composite sketch of the suspect in the hope it may lead to tips about his identity.
