Police seek assistance to identify armed robbery victim

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking the public’s help to identify a man who was robbed by a suspect with a hatchet in March.

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at approximately 10:15 a.m. at MacEwan LRT station. Police have identified the suspect, who was captured on Edmonton Transit surveillance using a hatchet to cut the victim’s backpack strap, forcibly removing it, and then leaving via a departing train. The victim in the robbery has yet to come forward, and investigators would like to speak with them in order to ensure they were not injured.
