On August 13, 2026, a report was made to the EPS alleging an EPS officer used excessive force during an incident that occurred the previous evening. The matter was referred to the Police Review Commission, which has since directed ASIRT to conduct an investigation into the complaint.
The EPS has placed one officer in a non-operational role while ASIRT investigates.
