The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) continues to seek the whereabouts of a missing father and his two children and are hoping to identify a man they were seen with in late August.

On Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026, the EPS issued a media release seeking the public’s assistance locating Scot MacDermid, 42, and his two children, George, 6, and Lesley, 9.

Since then, investigators have learned that Scot and his children were seen in Lloydminster with an unknown man on Aug. 28, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m.

The travel direction of Scot and his children beyond Lloydminster is unknown at this time; however, police believe they may have been seen in Saskatchewan or Manitoba.

Anyone with information about the identity of the unknown male or the current whereabouts of Scot, George or Lesley is asked to call the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.
