Police seek public's assistance identifying robbery suspect

For Immediate Release: 25-Mar-2026 @ 2:00 PM
MRU #: R26R002

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a suspect who robbed a fast-food restaurant in the Clareview neighbourhood earlier this year.

On Jan. 4, 2026, at approximately 9:15 p.m. an adult male entered a fast-food restaurant in the area of 49 Street and 137 Avenue, approached the counter, brandished a knife and demanded cash from the register. The employees fled the business through a rear exit, while the suspect attempted to gain access to the register without success. The male then fled the scene, and no injuries were reported.

The suspect was captured on camera and investigators are hopeful the public can help identify him.

He is described as a white male, 5’8” to 5’10” tall with a medium build who was wearing black pants, a black and white checkered jacket, a grey hooded sweatshirt and black runners with white and red soles.
