Samuel Bird investigation now searching Carrot Creek area

The Edmonton Police Service Homicide Section has initiated a search in the Carrot Creek area for Indigenous youth Samuel Bird, who is presumed deceased.

“Further to our news release last week, we have received additional information that has focused our search in the Carrot Creek area in the Yellowhead corridor, approximately 160 km west of Edmonton,” says primary investigator Det. Jared Buhler, with the EPS Homicide Section. “Our crews will be searching the area over the next week, and at this time, we’re asking the public to avoid the immediate area and give us room to complete a thorough search.”
