Police investigating serious train-pedestrian collision

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating a serious collision in which a train struck a pedestrian in south Edmonton yesterday.

On Thursday, June 26, 2025, at approximately 5:47 a.m., police were called to a collision involving a CP Rail train and a pedestrian at a railway crossing on 51 Avenue between 99 Street and Gateway Boulevard.

EMS treated and transported an adult female to hospital with life-threatening injuries. She remains in hospital in critical condition. Major Collision Investigations Section is leading the investigation.
